Creative Photoshop Class - Senior Announcements

Classes are Limited to 25 Students Each

$30 Per Person {Requires pre-registration and payment}

Don't spend a ton of money to have senior annoucements deisgned and printed. Learn how to do them yourself with Photoshop or Photoshop Elements.  You can then take them to any photo processing place and get as many as you need printed.  It is fun, easy and inexpensive.

I will walk you through how to make a collage of photos with borders and text.

The first hour will be instruction and the 2nd hour you will get to work on your own announcements so bring some photos!

*Don't have a laptop or maybe your software is installed on your desktop at home?  We have a couple of laptops available.  Be sure to call to reserve them.

**Wanting to purchase the software but not sure which one to purchase?  Both have trial version available on Adobe's website www.adobe.com.  You can do a lot with Elements so that is usually what I recommend.

HDR (High Dynamic Range) Beginning

Classes are Limited to 10 Students Each

$100 Per Person {Requires pre-registration and payment}

The HDR Class is back by popular demand!

You will learn the following:

  1. What is HDR and why do I want to use it
  2. Exposure bracketing and how to do it if your camera doesn’t have that feature
  3. RAW HDR (making an HDR pic from 1 raw file)
  4. Photomatix exposure blending and tone mapping
  5. Photoshop Merge to HDR feature
  6. Photoshop layers (putting the cool hdr sky back into the original photo or manual HDR by combining parts different photos)

You need to have the following equipment:

  • SLR or DLSR
  • Laptop
  • Photomatix
  • Photoshop

*Try to have both Photomatix and Photoshop installed on your computer.  You can get trial versions online or trial versions will be available the day of class.

    Kriss Russell is well known for her Stock photography.  She is going to share her knowledge and secrets so you too can make money selling you photos.

    The first night will cover all the basics.

    On Saturday, you will get plenty of shooting time with models in different setups.  You will also receive one-on-one help.

    Model shoot

    Want to shoot some beautiful models and get the rights to the images?  Then this is just for you.

    This class is just what it says.  We will provide a few models, you bring your camera and shoot.  This is great opportunity to get some images for your portfolio.

    Wanting some help from a professional during the shoot?  Then our Model Workshop class is probably more what you need.  (Please see Portrait/Light and Photoshop Workshop)

    Need some equipment or want to try it out before purchasing?  We will have some reflectors, Gary Fong and equipment available. 

    Time and Locations will vary depending on the season.

      You know the basics of Elements or maybe you've already taken the Beginning Course and now you are ready to learn more.

      This class is designed to go beyond the basics and teach you how to really get in depth with processing you images.   We will talk about layering, blending, enhancing and actions plus a lot more.

        Learn everything from transferring, storing, organizing and post-processing your images.

        The second night you will get a chance to work on images.  Touching up, enhancing colors and applying filters are just a few of the topics covered.

        Portrait Photoshop Class

        You are taking awesome portraits, now you want to learn how to make the look awesome in Photoshop right?

        This class will teach you just that.  Learn how to clean up and soften the skin, smooth out skin tones, brighten up eyes, adding and removing shadows and highlights and much, much more.

        I will cover a lot of information in just a couple of hours so make sure you are comfortable moving about in Photoshop CS 3, 4 or 5 or Photoshop Elements.  If you need some more experience prior to the class, check out our beginning classes.

        Want to learn how to take portraits from beginning to end.  Start in the classroom on a Wedensday night and go over settings, equipment and flash techniques.

        After you learn the basics of shooting portraits, you get a chance to shoot some models in different environments (Saturday morning) and you get the rights to the images to use for your portfolio.

        So you've learned the basics and shot some images.  Now you want to learn how to really make them pop with photoshop.  Then Tuesday night, you can learn various techniques on post-processing.
